Here are some tips to help you think a little differently when capturing your holiday this summer! I hope you find them useful.

1) Don't Say Cheese 📸

Sometimes the best shots are when the kids are not aware of the camera.

2)  Think about angles 📸

Crouch down & take pictures at the childrens’ level, you’ll see lots of new viewpoints.

3) Zoom in 📸

Zoom in close & pick up some detail to create a storyboard.

4) Use your phone 📸

Don't risk getting sand/water in your camera, just take your phone instead.

5) Food for thought 📸

Remember to take photos of the delicious food/ vibrant market stalls.

6) Rainy Days!  📸

Not every holiday is sunny!

7) Silhouettes 📸

Just play around with people walking near/away - it makes a powerful shot!

8) Furry Friends 📸

Shoot from their viewpoint!

9) Time of day 📸

No-one likes to squint at the camera, so consider taking photos when the light is gentler (morning/evening) or move to the shade.

10) Make sure you are in the photo too! 📸

Pop your phone on a self-timer or buy a little remote control. Here is my wonderful family on a recent holiday to Mexico.

(Truth be told, we were really in Macclesfield, but you'd never know 😂!)

Most of these photos above were taken on an iPhone and they bring back memories of some wonderful summers gone by. ❤️

I hope these top ten tips help inspire you to take some fabulous photos this summer!

And remember...if you want some lovely photos of you and your family looking relaxed and tanned later this summer, just get in touch and we can organise a Family photoshoot!
